The Dark Harvest Ballads II was a magical evening.  Hip Bone Studio was an ideal location for the event, although it turned out to be a little small for the glorious size of the audience  - apologies to those who had to stand!  We raised over $300 for the Oregon Food Bank as we wove a spell to celebrate the dying of the year.  Thanks to Nick and John for all the help with sound, to Ellie for the delicious treats, to Kirsty, Robbie, and Zach for working the door, and to Paul for serving the drinks.  We truly appreciate all of you.

The Ensemble  performing, Willie’s Lady...

“Who was it, who untied the Nine Witch Knots, braided in amongst this lady’s locks?”

The Bal Breton on September 26th was a huge success!  Thank you to all who came out to dance and enjoy an evening of Breton music with us!   -Ian

Bryan recites the ancient poem, The Hag

A Spirit introduces the show, promising Purgatory if any soul’s cellphone should ring...

Elizabeth and Seneca perform, Death at my Door.

“Oh, I woke in the night to a loud knocking noise, Who knocks so late this night...?”

Hugo and Ian perform Diverus & Lazarus.

“As it fell out all on one day, Rich Diverus he held a Feast...”

Our Spring Fest Noz on April 10th was a great success!  Thank you to everyone who came to dance, eat, and joy and evening of great music.  It was a true pleasure to have Sonerion down from Seattle to play the first set of dances for the night.

Pictured below are Sona Greenberg (Accordion), Stanley Greenthal (Bouzouki and Guitar), and Ron Reed (Bombarde and Piston).   We hope to have them and their music back in the future.

Release date is September 1st, when it will be available on iTunes, CDBaby.com, and elsewhere.  There are a limited number of “pre-release” copies available.  Please contact Ian if you’re interested at onsevenwinds@gmail.com
